He Rose. by Jeff Johnson
Ok, so in light of one of my favorite holidays EASTER I just had to share this. On my drive from Dallas to Henderson to see my dad and family I was listening to my I-pod in the car and I realized the beauty of the following song. If you havent heard of Jeff Johnson he is one of the best Christian singer/songwriter's out there, truely amazing voice! Please look him up and listen to a few of his songs. This one is one of my favorites and inspires you when hear it. I just thought it was very fitting for the Easter Holiday. I hope this encourages you a little when you read it. I'm truely passionate about believning in God's resurrection and that he could have called 10,000 angels to set him free...but instead he chose to set you and me free...FOR ETERNITY!! Amazing... Alright that's enough soap box...I hope you enjoy the lyrics of this song....(you'll have to look it up and listen to him sing it...he is awesome!)
He Rose, by Jeff Johnson
Prophecy foretold
A King born to men
A love the world had never known, but Hewas crucified.
On the 3rd day He rose again, that’s when the meaning of my life began,
He rose, Jesus He rose,
My life’s been forgiven; this world holds no power,
He rose, Jesus He rose,
My life’s been redeemed, this prisoner set free
Death made into life,
Now I have been made new,
I’m no longer bound by sin or shame, cause it was crucified with you,
And on the 3rd day He rose again,
And that’s when the meaning of my life began,
Scorned and broken he was nailed to a tree
He was crushed to bring God glory and set the sinner free,
Death was beaten, Satan ceased of all his power…
Hallelujah!! Jesus won the victory!
