OLYMPICS....what I would do if I could start my life over, or change anything!

Ok, so it ranks right up there with baseball and the Aggies...the Olympics.

I love everything about the Olympic games, the countries coming together, winter/summer sports, teamwork, and I dont know about you but I watch each event and wish I could be out there...wish I could feel that rush, and accomplishment, and be a part of something amazing!

But, I dont think I'll be swimming the breast stroke, running the steeplechase, or Sticking a breathtaking landing on the gym floor...although thats always been a dream of mine! I'll just watch in amazement with the rest of the world and cheer with pride for the USA!

Also, there are over 36 aggies in the olympics this year...Whoop to that. However I digress....

The reason for this entry today is to talk about an article I read about Joey Cheek and his Visa getting taken away 2 days before he heads to China to support his fellow olympians. Cheek is a speed skater so he wasnt in the summer games, just there to support. Read the article here

It makes me pretty upset, I'll let you read and come up with your own conclusion but I've had about enough of politics getting in the way of the ONE thing that brings athletes, countries and lives together for a few weeks to rise above everything else and do what they LOVE!

I agree with one of the comments from this article....I hope I get to see someone win their game/sport/event and rip off their jersey and show a "Save Darfur" shirt underneath...Lets see what they will do with the whole world watching!!
