Memories....

So its been busy but I appreciate that. Halloween is tomorrow, I'm not much for the holiday...However it was so much fun as a kid. When we were in high school all the kids (teenagers) on our street would get together wearing at least one piece of a costume and go to all of the houses around the neighborhood and all of the houses just gave us the rest of the bags of their candy. They were mostly older couples and all of them knew we would be by at the end of the night! Let just say we had frozen chocolate in the freezer for months!!

I do miss the days of childhood and dressing up and getting so excited. Mom would take me and katie down the block in our outfits and get candy, and then dad would wait at home giving out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. When we got back from our street run, we would all head to the Fall Carnival at church. I loved that as well..so much fun. I think my most overused costumer was the princess...and one year I was a clown, because my grandfather was a famous Shriner Clown...I actually have a picture of Katie (dressed as cat), Mom (dressed as Fighter Pilot), Me (clown) when I was about 4 years old I LOVE THAT PICTURE! I'll have to scan it sometime and put it on here...My mom always got really creative and into it when we were little. I cant wait to have little kids....how much fun will that be!!

Anyway, just reminiscing.....

On another note...I've decided to join Bible Study Fellowship here in Dallas. They have the only single adult class (co-ed) here in Dallas so I've heard it is a great opportunity. My mom always did this back in Temple and I always loved how in depth their studies went. She's been telling me to find out about the class here...Turns out its on the ONLY night I don't have anything...so its perfect. Anyway I'll let you know how it goes, I have my first session on the 4th.

Till next time...

I've never done BSF, either -- my mom has started, though. Sounds WONDERFUL. I know it will be a blessing to you.

We are gearing up for a fun night -- I really think it is the first time EVER my kids have gone door-to-door trick or treating, and only my 10-year-old is going. (We usually just do the church's activity). I've also never been here to pass out candy, and one neighbor told me that she usually spends about $50 on candy -- and runs out! I hope my house doesn't get egged!
