It could be worse....really?
I love the saying....."Hey it could be worse, we could be trying on bathing suits!"
My questions is....What about when you are trying on that bathing suit....what then?
I went shopping for a new pair of jeans last night at the mall....which led me to try on some new bathing suits for my Mexico trip this summer...OK....I've been working out like crazy, eating really well and I feel a ton better...feel a lot fitter...but APPARENTLY the jean companies/bathing suit maker's are feeling the effects of the economy.
Is it just me or does it seem that all the sizes fit smaller these days....the fabrics are thinner....and Prices are higher. Now I'm not trying to complain or feel ungrateful with what God has given me...i surely dont want God to rein down fire, and punish me the the way he did with the Israelites when they complained after the Manna.....
I'm just saying...."I'm trying on bathing suits...."
p.s.: about 25 minutes after writing the above statements...I read my daily desk verse....."Isnt everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God? You already have all you need."-1 Cornthians 4:7-8

He definitely did give you plenty of 'sheer gifts' and 'everything you need.' Believe me, I'm a guy. I saw some pics of you a couple days ago, perhaps from high school, and I thought, "too skinny, face not full enough, needs more meat." Someday soon, the right, lucky guy is going to come along, be dazzled, care nothing of 10-20 lbs here or there. I just continue to be shocked that it hasn't happened yet. Guys today must be taking crazy pills.
You are beautiful! I agree on the smaller sizes, though not that I would know...I've noticed that, too. I think it's a conspiracy to make us feel even worse about ourselves! Don't listen.
